peckish rhodes workshop

The workshop will take place from 10am-2pm on Saturday July 17 at The Rooted Space (1803 W Byron St #201, Chicago, IL 60613)

There is free street parking in the neighborhood. The Rooted Space is also close to the Irving Park brown line stop and multiple bus routes.

We will be in the space at 9:45 for registration. We will begin with a warmup/class at 10am and move into choreography, improv, and performance techniques.

Please bring water, snacks, and knee pads (optional).

This workshop is perfect for professional and college level dancers who are looking to expand their artistry and take advantage of the theatrical movement techniques and athletic contemporary choreography used by Peckish Rhodes Performing Arts Society. The workshop will include a warmup/class with artistic director Megan Rhodes, a short snack break and Q and A session, improv, and an exploration of tools to incorporate acting and performance into your movement practice. This is the perfect opportunity to push your emotional connection to movement and begin to find authentic ways to be more theatrical through contemporary dance.
